International students in the USA can apply during three main intakes:

  • Fall (August–September)
  • Spring (January)

Work Opportunities in USA

If you hold an F-1 Visa, you are allowed to work in the United States when authorised by a designated school official. But only under certain conditions, within accordance with company guidelines and directives issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration division. There are several categories of employment available as an F-1 student in US. On-campus employment is the most freely available, while off-campus employment must be related to your area of study and is authorized by the Designated School Official.

In order to work in the city, you need to choose Voluntary Services Permits (VSVP). However, you can also apply for jobs outside on OPT and you can also be able to get a VSVP after you are hired. The USA government offers F-1 visas to international students, which require the following fees:

  • MRV Application Fee: $185 (nonimmigrant visa application fee), paid when scheduling your visa interview.
  • SEVIS I-901 Fee: $350 for F-1 students, paid online before your interview.
  • Visa Integrity Fee: $250 (introduced in 2025), paid at visa issuance.

English Language Requirements:
