Visa Requirements for Malaysia
- International students should receive an acceptance letter from the respected university.
- Students must have all the required documents ready to apply for Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
- Applications are processed through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), and
- International students must secure an Electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) before traveling.
- A post-arrival medical check and Student Pass endorsement are mandatory.
English Language Requirements:
Top universities in Malaysia generally require an IELTS score between 5.5 and 6.5, depending on the institution and program. Public universities often accept 5.5–6.0, while private and overseas-branch campuses require 6.5.
Most top Malaysian universities accept TOEFL iBT scores, with requirements ranging from 33 to 97 depending on the institution and program level. Public universities often set lower thresholds (around 40–60), while international branch campuses require higher scores (80–97).
