Visa Requirements for Australia
Bangladeshi students applying for an Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500) must meet academic, financial, and English language requirements, submit documents via ImmiAccount, and comply with the new Genuine Student (GS) framework introduced in 2024. The visa allows full-time study and part-time work (up to 48 hours per fortnight).

- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from Australian institution.
- Proof of funds (bank statements, sponsor letters)
- English proficiency test score (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE)
- Academic transcripts and certificates.
- Statement of purpose (aligned with GS framework)
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) certificate
- Moral Character Certificate and Police Clearance Certificate
- Biometrics (photo + fingerprints)
- All applications must be lodged online via ImmiAccount.
- Must be accepted into a CRICOS-registered institution.
- Minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0 to 7.0 (each band must have 6) or equivalent test score based on university and course requirements.
- Evidence of tuition fees and living expenses (AUD 29,710 per year)
- Visa fee is approx. AUD 2,000.
- For biometrics photo and fingerprints collected by VFS Global in Bangladesh.
- For Health insurance the applicant must purchase OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover).
