Admission requirements & applications
Each higher education institution is unique in the programs offered, entry requirements, cost and culture. There is no federal or state-level application system for international students applying to universities in Australia, so you will need to apply directly to the university, usually online and often for a fee.
In addition to submitting your academic achievments to date, you may also have to submit proof of ability in the English language, as well as completing any set tests or interviews. The beginning of the academic year in Australia
is February, though it may also be possible to commence studies in July, at the start of the second semester. You can generally apply between three and 18 months before a course starts, but the earlier the better.
